Hello everybody!

Christmas is coming!

As every year we'll have our Christmas Festival and we're going to sing some carols.

The first group who has chosen its song is 3er of ESO-B. They decided to sing the song " Santa Claus is Coming to Town" by Mariah Carey. So you can practice the lyrics if you follow the video below.

Here we have the 2nd of ESO group B song. It's "All I want for Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey.  Besides, there is a present for Justin Bieber fans...

And the last bilingual group, 1st of ESO B, has chosen "Santa Baby" by Taylor Swift.

Merry Christmas to you all!

Be good or Santa won't give you all the presents you've asked for...
ho, ho, ho!

Hi everybody!! I would like to comment my opinion about ICT and blogs in class. I have to say that blogs enriches students and teachers because they are a way to share a space where they can express themselves, learn, show many things and debate. I’ve used it a lot (although I like to use the Moodle/EVAGD, too). I also have another blog for all my students in the high school. But this one is just for the CLIL groups. Here I use to upload our school projects, some photos of the groups (such as those in which they did a play, Halloween time, Christmas Carols, Saint Valentine’s). Moreover, it is very useful. I usually post a reminder of the film (a trailer) that we are going to watch in our video-classes and so on. I often combine both things, for example I give my students a task in which they have to watch a video in the blog and then, they have to go to the EVAGD and write about it. Finally, I recommend everybody to use a blog for all the reasons said above.

Happy Saint Valentine's Day!

Hi everybody!!

Today is Saint Valentine's Day! Love is all around us.

I hope you've enjoyed the English classes today. We've done a lot of funny things: songs, videos, crosswords, drawings, colour, poems and so on.
Here we have an example of the posters of 1st B. The cards on them are so sweet!

Another week, another film. This time "Transformers"

Hi boys and girls!
This week we're going to watch "Transformers". Here you have a trailer.
Everybody knows what it is about, so I'm not going to explain it, ok? Just watch it and make the summary of the movie, ok?
I hope you like it ;)

The New Film on 1st of ESO..."I am Number Four"

Hi everybody!!
I hope you like the new film we have chosen for this week.
It's about a boy who is from another galaxy, but he is living in the Earth. He's number four of nine other boys and girls who are hidden in this planet. There are some people who are looking for them...  He is number four in the list to be killed! However, he has powers!
I hope you enjoy it!
See you ;)

New Series for 1st of ESO: "Neverland"

        Hi everybody!!
We will start this new term with a new serie. It is called "Neverland" and it's based on the story of Peter Pan. It has action and deals with frienship, freedom and effort.
I hope you like it ;)

The New Series for 2nd of ESO: "Treasure Island"

       Hi everybody!!

Here you have the trailer for the new serie we're going to work in class. It's called "Treasure Island". It's based on the novel of Robert Louis Stevenson, author of "Robinson Crusoe", too.
Treasure Island has action, emotion and good special effects. It's been one of the most successful series in the U.K. and U.S.A.
   We hope you like it.

The Christmas Carols

                           Hi everybody!!
We had a great time on 22nd December, didn't we?
Well, here we have some photos of that funny day. I hope you enjoy them all!
We'll start with the bilingual groups and them with the rest of groups at IES Guillermina Brito ;)

The fisrt group is 2nd of ESO group B.

They prepared a good perfomance.

They sang and danced a lot :)

And... here it is their moment of fame ;)

Their teacher was there to support and encourage them, of course!

The second group is 1st of ESO group B.

They were very shy in the show because this is their first time. However, we're sure that next year, they will be better!

Now, the rest of the groups.

The students of Music played a wonderful Canarian Christmas Carol.
